Mepron®

Encapsulated in a patented blend of fibers, Mepron^® carries a high payload—85 percent methionine—to deliver this crucial nutrient to dairy cows. Rumen stability ensures that the proper levels of methionine reach their appropriate destinations. Methionine is mainly required in the small intestine for direct use by the cow in the production of milk and also in the rumen for microbial growth.

Mepron^® is designed to release only 15 percent to 20 percent of the methionine in the rumen. Over 90 percent of the remainder is absorbed along the small intestine. The rumen stability and intestinal availability of Mepron^® have been studied and confirmed by many laboratories.
